This monthly report, produced by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, looks at labour market conditions in Ontario by presenting data from Statistics Canada, such as unemployment rate, participation rate, and employment.
Wages and salaries
To get an idea of what people are paid in various occupations, visit the Wage and Salaries page of the Canadian government's labour market information website. Note, you will need to know a specific job title.
Sector Council Program
Through the Sector Council Program, Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) is working with the private sector to enhance adult workers' skills through activities such as increasing employer investments in skills development and promoting workplace learning and training.
The various sector councils bring together business, labour and educational stakeholders. Their websites provide information about sector-specific human resources and skills issues.
